Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling, and have over a century of experience in doing so.The Maintenance Technician will oversee the maintenance and provide daily hands on working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to support existing business processes for Howden. They will perform and assist with the daily preventative maintenance activities, and assure that these tasks are performed correctly. The Maintenance Technician will schedule and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities of all the production equipment and the facility.What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

Performs electrical engineering design analysis for sales order projects, supply chain support, and product development / product enhancements.

Performs technical review of electrical instrumentation, devices, and hardware to be incorporated into our product designs and orders. These may include vibration monitoring systems, electric motors and associated equipment, actuators, lube oil systems, and control panels.

Ensures products are designed and engineered to meet agreed upon electrical and instrumentation specifications, including suitability for hazardous area classifications when appropriate.

Composes technical reports and test procedures.

Performs electrical engineering analyses as required via hand calculations, Excel spreadsheets, or various software programs to ensure products are safely designed and in accordance with all necessary specifications, codes, and regulations.

Performs electrical and instrumentation component selection, industry specification review, and minor failure analysis.

Your Education Should Be…

Minimum of 5 years experience in industry, preferably involving rotating equipment and associated instrumentation.

Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement environment.

Experience working in a matrix organization where influence, indirect leadership and compelling ideas are used to accomplish organizational objectives.

Experience working with ERP and other technology tools.

Advanced degree.

Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain one.
