CNC Level I/II/III Machinist

Description:Aerotek is looking for CNC Operators in the Windsor, CT and Springfield, MA areas for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift openings. This aerospace company supports some of the world's major turbine manufacturers, commercial airlines, and the military.Job Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets

Perform complex set ups, edits, and operate established and NPI jobs with ensuring parts conform to specifications and requirements. Make modifications or adjustments as necessary

Verify dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gauge, height gauge, and verniers

Familiar with Lean practices, 6S, and contributing to a continuous improvement environment

In addition to lathe machining duties, cross training may be required to learn and perform other duties as necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have CNC certification or hands on machining experience with setups on CNC lathes, CNC mills, OR CNC Grinding (minimum 2 years)

Must be flexible to train on any machine. Candidate will likely cross-train on mills, lathes or CNC grinding machines depending on where the need is
