Sterilization TechnicianMonday- Friday Day Shift- 730AM- 4PM - NO WEEKENDSJob DescriptionResponsible for effective sterilization and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Ensure that all laboratory materials such as eggs, culture tubes, and waste are sterilized and/or removed. Wash, sterilize, and prepare labware for laboratory use, develop a labware use schedule based on the production schedule, and run autoclaves as per specific customer requirements.Responsibilities

Sterilize and/or remove used laboratory materials (e.g., eggs, culture tubes, waste, etc.).

Wash, sterilize, and prepare labware for laboratory use.

Develop labware use schedule based on the production schedule.

Run autoclaves according to labware use schedule and specific customer requirements.

Monitor the rotation, disposal, and replacement of plastic laboratory equipment.

Make daily detergent and disinfectant solutions based on the requirements of equipment for the day.

Train and direct lab technicians who are assigned to assist with cleaning and sterilization.

Wash and fold laundry.

Perform general routine cleaning and maintenance of autoclaves and other equipment.

Maintain kitchen equipment logs.

Perform general housekeeping of laboratory facilities as assigned.

Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Experience in sterile processing, sterilization, and cleaning.

Familiarity with aseptic techniques, autoclaves, and decontamination procedures.

Ability to work in a cleanroom and laboratory environment.

Proficiency in wrapping, collecting, sorting, and packing laboratory materials.

Good documentation practices.

Monday- Friday Day Shift- 730AM- 4PM - NO WEEKENDSAdditional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

6-12 months of relevant work experience.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
