Job DescriptionAs a University Construction Project Manager specializing in sports facility development and campus expansion, you will lead and oversee all aspects of construction projects related to the addition of a new track and field facility, integration of fuel cell technology, and expansion of the commons building. Your role will involve coordinating with the construction crew working on the project and the university to make sure needs are met and timelines are being hit.Skills and Requirements

Will be onsite full time and needs to able to commute to University of Hartford

Background in State/town building codes to make sure project is in compliance with all state/town codes

Project managing experience with a back ground in project plans, timelines, and budgets for new construction

Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective allocation of resources. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate budgetary risks to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.

Candidate needs to be able to Implement quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds design specifications, building codes, and safety standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address deficiencies, defects, or deviations from plans.

Serve as the primary point of contact for the university administrators and the construction team. This person will need to facilitate regular meetings, provide progress updates, and address concerns or feedback to ensure transparency and alignment with project goals. - Strong communicator
