Job Description:Role Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Liquidity manager for our Treasury team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of liquidity management principles and practices, as well as a strong background in regulatory compliance within the banking sector. This role will lead the Liquidity Management activities for Synchrony Financial and Synchrony Bank. Specific areas of focus include, but are not limited to, managing the liquidity risk management framework, execute thorough firm-wide liquidity monitoring, forecasting, reporting, policy setting and risk management.We're proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive liquidity strategies to ensure the bank maintains adequate liquidity buffers

Monitor Synchrony's liquidity positions and market conditions, to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Maintain and ensure adherence to Synchrony's Liquidity Policy

Ensure compliance with all relevant liquidity regulations and coordinate with regulatory agencies as necessary.

Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess resiliency to liquidity stress events

Create and monitor liquidity early warning indicators

Manage and test contingency plans to mitigate potential liquidity risks.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including treasury, risk management, finance/capital planning, and business platforms, to align liquidity management strategies with overall business objectives.

Prepare regular reports and documentation on liquidity positions, trends, and risk reporting for ALCO, Capital Planning, the Board of Directors, regulatory agencies, and other internal stakeholders.

Support SEC and Regulatory Reporting requirements e.g. 2052a filing.

Assist with implementation of key Treasury strategic initiatives

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree ; or in lieu of degree, 12 years equivalent experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience in liquidity management within a bank or 8 years' experience at a bank, with a strong understanding of US banking regulations

In-depth knowledge of liquidity risk measurement techniques, stress testing methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

Desired Characteristics:

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market information.

Proven leadership experience, with the ability to drive initiatives and lead teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Confidence / Assertiveness: good influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business personnel with recommended changes and defend position

Adaptable/flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations. Inquisitive nature and good listening skills

Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully work in cross-functional projects/process improvement within the treasury function

Ability to create and deliver business presentations and communicate effectively

Good communication skills: Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts to senior management and regulatory agencies.

Experience working in financial business environment with a sound understanding of process and transactional flows

Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

Grade/Level: 13The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
