JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for strategy, development, design, and management of technical marketing initiatives required for the realization of marketing campaigns and sales plans. This position also provides strategic leadership to expand the capabilities of Charter’s world class database marketing platform, enabling the realization of Charter’s long-term growth plans for years to come. This position requires managing multiple direct-report teams, managing matrixed Marketing and technology teams, partnering as a key participant cross functionally within the CMO, and engaging best-in-class vendors where needed.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Senior management responsibility for the execution of customer segmentation and contact strategy activities essential for Direct Mail/Inbound Sales and Outbound Telemarketing channels and campaigns and the attainment of associated sales plans.

Ensure attainment of the list quality, quantity, and timeliness assumptions inherent in the sales plans on a daily basis, through the utilization of sophisticated targeting/list generation methodologies within an adaptive learning environment designed to ensure continuous process improvements.

Lead all planning, strategy, and execution of efforts in the operation and management of the marketing reporting data mart, including the development roadmap, staffing plan, and budget. Manage the creation of automated Tableau reports to inform decisions across the CMO organization.

Define the vision for the long-term database marketing platform. Work with senior executives, peers, and selected best-in-class vendors to define a comprehensive yet attainable vision that provides incremental and continuous impacts to increasingly aggressive sales plans for years to come.

Responsible for the development, implementation and enhancements of the database marketing platform by partnering with internal teams and vendors. Provide extensive leadership behind the ongoing functional enhancement of such platforms as well as how they can positively impact both current and future sales plans.

Act as the advocate for the increased utilization of database marketing principals and platforms (i.e. adoption of a data-driven marketing culture), across all sales channels and cross-functionally within the CMO.

Keep abreast of key industry and product trends, including within database marketing, within marketing performance analytics, and within the discipline of direct marketing in general.

Utilize all available and necessary database marketing tools and direct marketing disciplines, techniques and software solutions to create an enterprise-wide approach toward data-driven decision making.

Manage a matrixed organization and participate as an impactful and value-add team member on various leadership teams.

Manage the selection & daily supervision of multiple vendors in support of tactical day-to-day operations as well as in the realization of the longer term database marketing vision. This function includes vendor relationships, budget forecasting, and supervision of multiple direct-report teams that interface with vendors.

Continuously look to acquire key talent through the hiring of high-performing and dedicated database marketing experts who can provide Charter with world-class experience, knowledge, execution and overall marketing leadership within the industry. Manage the team’s performance, development, and growth in alignment with Charter’s Leadership Framework.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Ability to analyze and interpret data, including customer analysis and modeling, in support of the continuous improvement of tactical day-to-day support to the current sales plan

Ability to be a dedicated and passionate advocate for data-driven decision making

Ability to identify analytical requirements for understanding shortfalls/excesses to appropriate marketing plans, campaigns, programs and initiatives

Knowledge of marketing program testing, tracking, profiling, targeting, metrics and analysis

Ability to drive multiple projects and tasks with sense of urgency to achieve business results

Knowledge and first-hand familiarity with direct marketing and/or outbound telemarketing tactics

Excellence in financial oversight of budgets

Understanding of data quality principles and best practices

Required EducationBachelor´s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Management, or Information SystemsRequired Related Work Experience and Number of Years

Marketing Operations or Marketing Analytics - 10-15

Knowledge of attribution methods such as Marketing Mix Modeling and Multi-Touch Attribution
