Description We are hiring for a long term contract employment opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper at our client's showroom in Stamford, Connecticut. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and generating financial reports. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other relevant skills for this role.Responsibilities: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online Efficiently process accounts payable and receivable Regularly reconcile bank and credit card statements Prepare and process payroll in a timely manner Generate financial reports including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements Perform general ledger maintenance and journal entries Collaborate with the team to support financial operations and reporting Address and resolve any accounting discrepancies and irregularities.Requirements Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role Proficient in account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and validity of accounting records Experience with handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), maintaining accurate records of payments and receivables Demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles Proficiency in Quickbooks Online for managing financial data and generating reports Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
