Job Description:Role Summary/Purpose:As AVP Analytics - Business Intelligence you will help drive enhanced user experience and increase productivity across Growth Analytics and SBI (Synchrony Business Intelligence) through a variety of analytical reporting & visualization tools. You will collaborate directly with internal Synchrony client leads, cross-functionally and with our Partners to enhance our customer experience and help guide in making more informed and confident decisions.Our Way of WorkingWe're proud to offer you choice and flexibility. Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.Essential Responsibilities:

Increase productivity by replacing manual outdated reports and processes with automated modern solutions

Present complex analytical information to a varied audience in a clear and concise manner

Drive continuous improvement in the reporting packages for the broad audience

Design, implement and manage best in class visualizations and data models using business intelligence software

Collaborate with Analytics teams (US and India), mentor and train BI team to upskill and expand overall expertise

Support leaders across all pillars of Analytics organization to make data driven decisions

Communicate and meet with clients regarding new and existing project updates

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, OR in lieu of degree, high school diploma and 7+ years analytics experience in marketing, portfolio management, credit, product development, loyalty or digital in credit card/consumer businesses

Minimum of 3 years of experience that includes:

3 years of experience utilizing SAS, SQL, Python or other analytic tools in a professional environment to perform data mining and complex analyses

1+ year of experience using business intelligence software/tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Birst, etc.

Desired Characteristics:

Deep understanding of data warehouse and data structures, especially Synchrony data warehouses

Ability to accurately condense large amounts of information and present in a simple, cogent manner to senior level management and clients

Experience working with multiple complex data sources and large data integration assignments

Advanced skills in MS-Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Solid understanding of credit card industry financial P&L drivers and key sensitivities, with business performance reporting experience

Experience in operating as part of a cross functional team

Unix scripting and cron scheduling

Customer facing or prior sales/ commercial experience

Strong project management, communications, multi-tasking, relationship management and influencing skills and the ability to work independently are critical to success

Grade/Level: 10The salary range for this position is 95,000.00 - 160,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Eligibility Requirements:

You must be 18 years or older

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
