Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in SOUTHBURY, Connecticut. This role primarily involves handling various accounting tasks such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger management. The incumbent will also be expected to use tools like Oracle, NetSuite, and QuickBooks among others.Responsibilities: Managing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Conducting regular bank reconciliations to monitor the company's cash flow. Maintaining and updating the General Ledger for accurate financial reporting. Preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close procedures. Leveraging your skills in Oracle, NetSuite, and QuickBooks to streamline accounting processes. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Collaborating with other finance team members to optimize financial operations. Providing support for internal and external audits. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and statements. Participating in special projects and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements Must possess a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Capable of performing Bank Reconciliations and managing General Ledger Proficiency in making Journal Entries and handling Month End Close procedures Experience with various accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Relevant certification (e.g., CPA) or equivalent work experience in accounting is preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
