We are seeking a talented Hospital Director to oversee our state-of-the-art facility, which provides critical and emergency care to pets in need.As our Hospital Director, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our large veterinary hospital, including surgical and emergency services. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of skilled veterinarians, technicians, and support staff who are committed to delivering the highest standard of care to our patients.At VCA Shoreline, we prioritize a culture of excellence and support for our Associates. As the Director, you will have the chance to foster a positive and collaborative working environment that values local input and decision-making. You will work closely with our Leaders/Supervisors and Medical Director to achieve our goals and uphold our commitment to exceptional service.What you will be doing but not limited to:

Accountability for the hospital profit & loss statements

Responsibility to foster a collaborative and positive culture and work environment

Focus on exceeding client expectations

Oversight of Leaders/Supervisors and Medical Director who support approximately 50 associates including doctors, technicians, veterinary assistants, and paraprofessional staff

Develop and grow future leaders

Oversight and development of onboarding, training, and continuity programs

Cultivate relationships within the veterinary community

Support the recruitment of medical professionals

Who we are looking for:

Prior specialty/emergency veterinary management knowledge is a plus.

Strong leadership skills to develop a solid team and proven success in engaging with veterinary professionals

Excellent analytical and organization skills, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Prior leadership for a specialty hospital or multi-site operational business

Proven experience building high performing teams

Ability to multi-task and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities

Experienced record of generating revenue growth and ability to balance short-term needs and priorities while building for the future

Special Working Conditions:

Flexibility in schedule and hours of availability

The environment where pets are present

Periodic travel required
