Structural Engineering Manager - Transportation

AECOM is seeking a multimodal engineer, capable of managing and coordinating an extensive program primarily consisting of rail, station, and catenary replacements, and bridge rehabilitations and replacements, including replacement of a complex bridge. This role includes identifying and coordinating upcoming tasks, developing scopes of services and fee proposals, managing and procuring resources, and overseeing the project’s quality, timeliness and budget. Additional responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams for large, complex transportation projects in transit, including heavy/light rail and commuter rail.Provide technical expertise, strategic direction, and innovation for transportation projects and programs.Scope, estimate, and plan engineering tasks for unique or controversial problems, developing novel concepts and approaches.Provides innovation in project and program approaches and methodologies to achieve marketplace differentiation.Coordinate and execute technical assignments, ensuring quality and adherence to client and organizational requirements.Manage engineering groups, including mentoring, training, and developing staff for career growth.Prepare and oversee reports, proposals, and documentation for clients and review agencies.Develop and build strong relationships with existing and new clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and identifying new business opportunities.  Strengthen client relationships within Transit industry including MBTA, CTDOT, MassDOT Rail and Transit, and RIDOT.Drives project performance and is responsible for the performance of the portfolio.Assist in subconsultant management and contracting processes.Participate in leadership discussions, workload planning, and workforce development for AECOM’s Transportation Business Line.
