Scientist IV/Senior Scientist, Material Analytical Science

DescriptionThis Scientist IV/Senior Scientist position is a laboratory-based (vs. managerial) position within the Biopharmaceutics and Material Sciences section. He/she conducts drug product manufacturing activities and be independently responsible for completion of batches. He/she also investigates the root cause of manufacturing issues/delays due to mechanical failures and thereby accounts for proper maintenance of various manufacturing equipments. Troubleshoots thoroughly manufacturing issues related to mechanical or formulation aspects and strategize planning with vendor for proper maintenance and calibration of instruments. Participates in and contributes to multidisciplinary project teams/sub-teams, and functions as an acknowledged resource in the field of expertise within and outside Material and Analytical Sciences (MAS). Responsible for preparing and reviewing technical memos and reports. Able to lift equipments up to 50 lb.RequirementsScientist IV BS with 10+ years or MS with 6+ years of industrial experience.Senior Scientis t Ph.D. Degree or equivalent with experience in a related field such as (BS with 12+ years or MS with 10+ years of industrial experience)Both Levelso Extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing processes of drug products including milling of drug substances.o Profound experience in troubleshooting of unit operations and maintenance issues.o Ability to work with a team of individuals in a timeline driven setting.o Experience in consulting support for strategic planning of space footprint and budgeting will be a plus.Eligibility Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
