Job Title: Scientist II Location: Ridgefield, CT Type: Contract, Potential for extension or conversion to permanent Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in related scientific discipline or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in related scientific discipline or equivalent experience in related field.
Expertise in moleculer biology techniques with usage of Geneious is a must.
HT expression and purfication of proteins.
Cell culture experience with CHO cells pertaining to expressions.
Practical experience with high throughput purification of proteins.
Practical experience with general molecular biology techniques such as PCR, clonings and nucleic acid extraction from E.coli using mini prep, mega prep and giga preps.
Proficiency with computers and familiarity with data analysis software (MS word, Powerpoint, Excel. Prism, GraphPad, etc) is a plus
Responsibilities:
Design, plan and execute experiments in an independent manner leveraging scientific and technical expertise to achieve defined objectives.
Independently initiates and carries out the process for assay development, optimization and validation as required.
Culture and maintain cell lines .
Performing molecular biology experiments such as high throughput clonings using Infusion and Golden Gate methodologies.
Expression and purfication of porteins using high throughput processes (HTP) and methodologies.
Work well in a highly matrixed environment and support multiple projects at the same time.
Works independently with the capability to troubleshoot experimental procedures.
Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel.
Prepare technical reports, publications and oral presentations.
