DescriptionThis role is based on-site at our Ridgefield, CT location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site.The Associate Director/Sr. Associate Director Market Research Competitive Intelligence (MRCI) will have primary responsibility for all aspects of market research for assigned brands/TAs, including the identification of market research needs, the development of MR plans leveraging appropriate research methodologies to fill those needs, the design, execution and interpretation of MR studies and the clear communication of the insights and recommendations arising from the research. The AD MR/CI will also have primary responsibility for all aspects of CI including the identification of knowledge gaps, the creation of key intelligence topics and key intelligence questions to fill those gaps, the leveraging of appropriate CI methodologies to obtain the needed intelligence, and the clear communication of the intelligence, its implications for supported brands/TAs, and recommendations. This role will also analyze syndicated, secondary market data for performance measurement and market understanding purposes in both MR and CI. Proactively identify market research projects and respond to requests for projects. Work with internal customer to define project objectives in order to maximize the effectiveness of managed market strategies and tactics

Develop project objectives and potential methodologies, create an RFP, source a vendor, review proposals, oversee project from kickoff to completion including NTA submission

Using both primary research and secondary sources, provide analyses, actionable insights, and recommendations to guide high level decisions affecting BI products

Support project owner in communicating out findings from the research and share insights across other teams where relevant – Payor A&I, A&I, market access, brand teams

Support other above brand market research projects from other departments (Medical Affairs, Health Systems, corporate), as needed

Competitive Intelligence for Market Access: above brand

Lead and conduct analysis of integrated MR and CI data from multiple sources with PM to produce and clearly communicate streamlined, flexible, actionable insights to support key launch, product development, and business development decisions. Work with internal customers to assure that strategic research and CI results are being communicated and used effectively to meet corporate goals

Lead Market Access Syndicated Market Research webinar series including vendor management, scheduling, fielding team questions, gathering insights, and proposing new project ideas

Attend conferences and gather insights on new market access trends (AMCP, PCMA, Asembia)

Review subscription reports (HIRC, Eversana, Cleveland Research, Clarivate, Policy Reporter) and other sources (DrugChannels, AMCP, etc) for additional insights for the team

Share insights across the MA and A&I teams

Omnichannel COE: CX metrics

Oversee development of a dashboard for customer experience metrics

Manage dashboard updates, utilization, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed

Monitor and provide insights to drive appropriate decision making

Be the SME on CX metrics and resources – understanding of how customers perceived BI (HCPs, patients, payors)

Work with internal customers to assure that strategic research and CI results are being communicated and used effectively to meet corporate goals

Deploy strategic research and CI resources accordingly and set annual objectives and budgets.

Manage Payor Analytics, Affordability and Omnichannel team conference list

Identify conferences for team members to attend

Keep informed on market research vendors

Ensure that corporate standards of excellence and compliance are upheld and performs all company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g. EEO, FDA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, SCIP etc) and Company policies and procedures. Immediately reports noted/observed violations to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards at all times in order to maintain BIPI’s excellent reputation with int eh medical and pharmaceutical industry

Role Goals

Become a SME in payer trends

Be up to date on all syndicated reports from Eversana, HIRC, Cleveland Research, Drug Channels

Attend conferences and webinars for additional learnings

Understand BI’s key TAs including pipeline and assess what payer trends may impact TAs; review IBP, ICP and Max to understand brand goals

Communicate trend learnings to relevant stakeholders (in one-on-ones or through team meetings)

Suggest market research or CI projects when appropriate

Associate Director Market Research Competitive Intelligence (MRCI) Requirements

BA/BS degree from an accredited institution with seven (7) years pharmaceutical market research experience, or equivalent analytical experience in related pharmaceutical function (sales analytics, forecasting, etc.) OR Master´s degree from an accredited institution with five (5) years of this experience

Significant working experience in all types of market research techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, including multivariate analytical techniques

Strong planning and organizational skills.

Excellent analytical skills.

Strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization (verbal, written and presentation skills).

Ability to work with other disciplines in an international environment.

Experience with marketing research to optimize the launch of new products preferred.

Strong interpersonal, managerial and leadership abilities.

Sr. Associate Director Market Research Competitive Intelligence (MRCI) Requirements

Bachelor´s degree from an accredited institution required. Master´s degree from an accredited institution preferred.

Eight (8) to ten plus (10+) years´ experience in Pharma Industry with a working knowledge of drug development process, including activities from pre-clinical through marketing of a product, anatomy and physiology and principles of disease, rationale for treatment algorithms and business knowledge of pharma companies and their business practices.

More than six (6) years previous project management experience. Experience leading project teams.

Demonstrated ability to lead others without authority and influencing peers.

Demonstrated success in managing large-scale cross-functional projects.

Demonstrated success in all types of market research techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, including multivariate analytical techniques

Excellent analytical skills

Compensation Data - This position offers a base salary typically between $135,000 and $232,000.  The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.  For an overview of our benefits please click here.
