Motoriot is a dynamic and growing automotive shop with a passion for restoring, modifying, and maintaining classic vehicles—especially vintage Land Rovers, Toyota Land Cruisers, Ford Broncos, and sports cars from the 60s through the 90s. We also work extensively on diesel-powered classics, including Land Rover Santanas and other vintage diesel 4x4s.
We’re looking for an experienced and efficient Automotive Technician who is highly organized and has exceptional attention to detail—someone who can handle the unique challenges of vintage vehicles while keeping projects moving smoothly and precisely.
If you live and breathe classic vehicles, know your way around a carburetor and a diesel injection pump, and can confidently drive a manual (stick shift)—we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vintage gasoline and diesel vehicles
Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections with precision and care
Work from repair orders efficiently and accurately using ShopMonkey (our shop management platform)
Communicate clearly with the parts department to source components
Document all work performed and keep detailed records in ShopMonkey
Road test vehicles as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Supervise and mentor apprentice techs if assigned
Follow shop policies and safety regulations, including hazardous waste procedures
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
Requirements
Proven experience working on classic cars (60s–90s models)
Familiarity with diesel engines—especially vintage Land Rover Santanas or similar 4x4s
Strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and close attention to detail
Efficient and well-organized in both workflow and documentation
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
Drug testing is conducted only as needed within the business; we are not screening for marijuana
Strong communication and organizational skills
Comfortable using ShopMonkey or willing to learn quickly
Energetic, enthusiastic, and a team player
Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before start date
