Job Type: Full-Time

(Monday - Friday/Occasional weekends for local events)

Motoriot is a dynamic and growing automotive shop with a passion for restoring, modifying, and maintaining classic vehicles—especially vintage Land Rovers, Toyota Land Cruisers, Ford Broncos, and sports cars from the 60s through the 90s. We also work extensively on diesel-powered classics, including Land Rover Santanas and other vintage diesel 4x4s.

We’re looking for an experienced and efficient Automotive Technician who is highly organized and has exceptional attention to detail—someone who can handle the unique challenges of vintage vehicles while keeping projects moving smoothly and precisely.

If you live and breathe classic vehicles, know your way around a carburetor and a diesel injection pump, and can confidently drive a manual (stick shift)—we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on vintage gasoline and diesel vehicles

Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections with precision and care

Work from repair orders efficiently and accurately using ShopMonkey (our shop management platform)

Communicate clearly with the parts department to source components

Document all work performed and keep detailed records in ShopMonkey

Road test vehicles as needed

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Supervise and mentor apprentice techs if assigned

Follow shop policies and safety regulations, including hazardous waste procedures

Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

Requirements

Proven experience working on classic cars (60s–90s models)

Familiarity with diesel engines—especially vintage Land Rover Santanas or similar 4x4s

Strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and close attention to detail

Efficient and well-organized in both workflow and documentation

Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Drug testing is conducted only as needed within the business; we are not screening for marijuana

Strong communication and organizational skills

Comfortable using ShopMonkey or willing to learn quickly

Energetic, enthusiastic, and a team player

Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before start date

Bonus Points For

Passion for vintage 4x4s and sports cars

Experience fabricating or customizing vehicles

Ability to adapt to different makes, models, and eras of vehicles

Join a team where your skills are valued, your passion is shared, and your work brings legendary vehicles back to life.
