North Star at The Alander is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, help develop menus and programming, and ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety while contributing to our mission of delivering an unforgettable dining experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.

Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with our dining standards.

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Manage inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and quality.

Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.

Monitor food preparation processes to ensure consistency and quality.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining environment.

Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards.

Excellent kitchen management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.

Creative flair for developing new dishes and menu items.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
