Description Robert Half is partnering with growing nonprofit organization in Norwich, CT that's currently looking for an experienced Contract Staff Accountant to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This contract position requires a candidate with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a strong knowledge of accounting principles.Responsibilities:
Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
Report analysis and findings to appropriate individuals
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
At least 2 years of experience in accounting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in Excel
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Up to date knowledge of current financial and accounting computer applications
Excellent oral and written communication skills
