Job Description: This role is responsible for coordinating the acquisition, distribution, and disposition of materials, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standardsDevelop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize inventory levels and accuracy, while minimizing carrying costs and stockoutsCollaborate with procurement teams to source and procure raw materials, components, and supplies from approved supplier listBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and cost-effectivenessUtilize demand forecasts and historical data to accurately forecast material requirements and plan procurement accordinglyCollaborate with internal quality team to resolve supplier quality issues, manage purchased part MRB and scrap, and follow supplier CARs to completionIdentify opportunities for cost savings through internal and external process optimization, negotiations with suppliers, and inventory reduction strategiesMaintain accurate records of inventory levels, transaction, and supplier performanceGenerate regular reports on KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvementEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and policies governing material management, including environmental regulations and safety standardsProvide leadership, guidance, and support to the materials team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementOffice environment within a manufacturing facility, exposure to shop elements when requiredQualifications: BS Degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field Proven experience (5 + years) in materials management, inventory management and procurement, preferably from a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in managing and motivating cross-functional teams Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and the tools associated Strong understanding of VMI, Kanban and consignment Proficiency in using ERP systems Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
