You can find leading-edge HBT technology is all around you, including at airports, hotels, healthcare institutions, business centers, stadiums, industries, and schools.The HBT Regulatory Team has an immediate opportunity for a Sr. Engineering Technician within our global regulatory department located in Northford, CT.The preferred candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative, and have a fundamental understanding of product compliance methodologies within a regulated global environmentThe salary range for this position is $61,800 - $92.700. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. Key Responsibilities Act as regulatory technical expert to support compliance of Fire products Interpret regulatory standards and advise engineering teams so they meet product requirements Clarify necessary document changes and guide technical publication team to mitigate concerns Define product approval strategy in the areas of design, functionality and documentation Prepare test plans, setup systems, coordinate testing and obtain approval results with agencies Perform software & hardware testing to identify performance gaps & improvement opportunities Analyze task risks, deadlines & priorities to help management derive realistic project schedules Resolve ongoing compliance concerns with engineering, marketing & technical publication teams Utilize quality control procedures and approval guides to perform responsible test executions Direct group of global team members on test methodologies to comply with local requirements Develop standard work, implement best practices and train engineering team members Maintain product & equipment compliance to latest changes from UL/ULC, EN, ISO, FM and other global standards Resolve manufacturing audit concerns by providing accurate & complete information Utilize resources and optimize strategies for fastest way to execute projects Identify test failure root causes and work with engineers on corrective action to resolve failures Be an excellent liaison between agencies and Honeywell engineering & quality teamsMUST HAVEMinimum High School Degree or Trade School CertificationWE VALUECapability to analyze requirements & manage product compliance from application to approvalStrong problem-solving skills: prioritize, identify root causes & take corrective actions Ability to use or learn and use lab equipment and relevant software. Examples include: using oscilloscope, developing loads, dielectric testers, transient machine, environmental & RFI/EMI chambers, soldering skillAbility to use or learn mechanical tools such as drills, fasteners, hand saws, and hand toolsRecognized proactive team fostering behavior & passion to get on time resultsDemonstrated ability to work with engineers and/or agency representatives Proven experience to engage multidisciplinary teams to resolve problemsEstablished skills to organize logistical challenges, prioritize concerns & manage resolutionsActive NICET-2 certification Excellent communication skills, effective verbal & written English proficiencyBasic MS office knowledge Knowledge of the New Product Development process of electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical productsHoneywell is an equal opportunity employer.
