We're Hiring: Ophthalmic Technician (Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays)

Position: Ophthalmic Technician

Location: Brookfield, CT

Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays (9 AM – 6 PM) and Sundays (9-2)

Potential for Full-Time: Yes, we will be quickly ramping up to full time and need someone with flexibility to move to full time.

We are a state-of-the-art optometry practice offering telemedicine services and we're looking for a passionate and skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. If you're eager to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment and provide top-notch care, we want to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For:

A team player who is patient-focused, with a strong work ethic.

Someone who can adapt and is excited to learn new technologies and techniques.

Prior experience in an optometry or ophthalmology practice is a plus, but we’re happy to train if you have the right and positive attitude!

Someone who can help optimize patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient clinic experience. Someone who is a fast learner and is technologically savvy.

Responsibilities

Assist in patient intake and record vital signs while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Conduct preliminary tests and examinations, utilizing knowledge of ophthalmology and medical terminology.

Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems and collaborate with the clinic team to enhance patient care.

Educate patients on procedures and post-care instructions, ensuring a comfortable experience in the clinic.

Uphold aseptic techniques and assist in the preparation of examination rooms.

Requirements:

Minimum: High school diploma (or equivalent).

Preferred: Certified Ophthalmic Technician Certification (COT), or similar certification.

Prior experience in an optometry or ophthalmology setting is preferred, but not required—training will be provided but must be able to learn quickly!

Comfortable with ophthalmic equipment and assisting with telemedicine procedures.

What We Offer:

Hourly Pay: $17-$22 per hour, based on experience.

Flexible schedule with potential for a full-time position.

Important Details:

Please Note: This is a W2 Position

Must be available Fridays and Saturdays (9 AM – 6 PM) and Sundays (9-2 PM).

Must be flexible to move to full time (Likely Thurs to Tues)
