This is an "in-person" position located in Newington, CTMonday - Friday 12:00 am - 8:00 amSUMMARYTo be responsible for all shared maintenance and PM activity on printers and all pre/post devices. Troubleshoot and repair printers, EMT’s and Hunkeler devices.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for ensuring that preventive maintenance is performed on each piece of equipment throughout the department.

Perform setup functions on EMT perf/punch equipment.

Troubleshoot and repair digital printers and pre/post devices.

Troubleshoot print quality issues and determine best course of correction.

Work with the Supervisor to develop and maintain a variety of tracking and data collection systems, including vendor outstanding maintenance issue logs, consumable and parts usage inventory within MicroMain, printer downtime reports, service call response logs, etc.

Fill out in complete detail an In –house maintenance report for all call, pm, and special project incidents.

Document all repairs, and PM activities in the MicroMain system.

Maintain tool inventory and security, and be accountable for the levels, use, whereabouts and condition of all tools stored on site.

Maintain and repair all roll-feed devices. Perform preventive maintenance on all rewinders and unwinders through regular cycles.

Assist management with identifying operator cleaning deficiencies and duties which are not be completed satisfactorily

Be available and engaged with all additional training opportunities to enhance maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Maintain and repair all pneumatic air cores, floor tiles, support plates and other peripheral equipment.

Inspect and repair all compressed air hoses and air guns.

Inspect and report issues relating to all premises areas, such as warehouse doors, security doors, windows and ceiling tiles.

Receive all printer preventive maintenance consumables.

Report any and all inappropriate use of equipment to the Supervisor.

Comply with company rules and regulations.

Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department.

Keep Manager/Supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives.

Perform other related duties as required to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.

Must have the ability to work additional hours when production goals warrant weekend shifts, also to be flexible with shifts when vacation schedules and training dictate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED plus 1 year experience in planning or equivalent

3 years of equipment maintenance experience or equivalent.

COMPETENCIES

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of computers—spreadsheet and word processing software

Ability to interface with executive, office and production staff

Ability to assist with operator training when needed

Competent ability to understand schematics and repair manuals

Ability to work overtime when asked or needed to accomplish production goals

Ability to work individually also, as part of a team in a high production atmosphere to accomplish department goals and deadlines.

Good understanding of electronics, servo drives and motors
