Established family-owned and operated business seeks motivated, enthusiastic, and professional drivers to work delivering potted herbs and vegetables to garden centers and fresh produce to markets and other customers. Multiple drivers needed for full-time and part-time seasonal positions. Drivers must support all tasks related to delivering products to customers, including assisting customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must hold a valid license with a good driving record. A CDL license is NOT required but is a plus.
Must have a valid MEDICAL card.
Must be able to drive either a box truck or a full-sized van or both. Box truck drivers must be able to operate a lift gate while successfully delivering shipping carts.
Must be able to frequently lift 30 pounds.
Must be willing and able to serve in any weather condition, out of doors.
Must be flexible as to shifts, hours, and delivery route distances and duration. Routes may be local in Connecticut and neighboring states and/or to all New England states, and New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing repetitively throughout the entire shift.
Work Hours:
Mon – Sun, anywhere from 1 to 5 days per week with half- and full-day shifts.
Drivers arrange their shifts with the dispatcher.
Full-time work is available for box truck drivers during peak times in April and May
