Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our packaging plant. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, including PLC's, VFD's, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and conveyors. This individual will ensure that all equipment is functioning safely, efficiently, and effectively to support the production of our salad dressings and condiments.

Responsibilities:

-Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM's) on equipment and schedule follow-up repairs as needed.

Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, including PLC's, VFD's, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and conveyors.

-Repair or replace malfunctioning components, such as sensors, switches, motors, and pumps.

-Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and pumps.

-Work with robotics and conveyors to maintain and repair equipment, as needed.

-Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

-Complete work orders and keep accurate records of maintenance performed.

-Communicate with production personnel and management regarding equipment status and repair schedules.

-Continuously monitor equipment performance to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

-High school diploma or equivalent, technical certification or associate degree preferred.

-Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic role in a manufacturing or packaging environment.

-Strong understanding of PLC's and VFD's.

-Complete understanding of Plant electrical systems, including DC voltage and AC voltage from 24V to 480V

-Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, robotics, and conveyors.

-Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

-Familiarity with PM schedules and follow-up procedures.

-Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

-Strong commitment to safety.

-Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
