We are seeking highly motivated and reliable Concrete Laborers to join our client’s team to the repair and restoration of concrete structures through Central Connecticut. Responsibilities:
Demolition: Using hand and power tools to remove damaged concrete, asphalt, and other materials in preparation for repair work.
Concrete Placement: Mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete, ensuring proper consolidation and surface preparation.
Steel Placement: Cutting, bending, and installing reinforcing steel (rebar) according to project specifications.
Waterproofing: Applying waterproofing materials to concrete surfaces to protect them from water damage and corrosion.
Grouting: Mixing and applying grout to fill cracks, voids, and joints in concrete structures.
Site Preparation and Cleanup: Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by removing debris, sweeping, and organizing materials.
Adherence to Safety Regulations: Following all company and OSHA safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of concrete construction experience
Proficiency in basic concrete tools, trowels, bull and hand floats, levels, screeds, edgers gorvers.
Ability to wear respiratory protection
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
