Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, repair, and renovation of dormitory interiors, including walls, doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry, and furniture.
Help prepare and clean work areas, including removing old materials, debris, and unnecessary equipment to maintain a safe and organized environment.
Measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and other materials under the guidance of a lead carpenter.
Assemble and install furniture, fixtures, and hardware in dorm rooms and common areas, ensuring everything is secure and functional.
Operate and maintain basic carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring they are kept in good working order.
Assist in the layout and installation of flooring, drywall, and other key materials.
Support loading and unloading of construction materials from delivery trucks.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly following safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with the construction team to meet project timelines and ensure work is completed to the highest standards.
Take on other tasks as directed by the Lead Carpenter or Project Manager to support the team’s goals.
Requirements:
Basic understanding of carpentry tools and construction equipment is a plus.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform various physical tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Pay Range: $22 - $26 per hour
