Able to work independently with minimum supervision and make intuitive decisions
Knowledge of welding machine operation, regulating current and voltage for the proper fusion of metals
Strong ability to read blueprints, sketches and understand layouts as well as means of manufacture
Highly proficient in laying out materials from blueprints and sketches
Strong knowledge of Mig, Tig, Arc Welding, Oxy-Acetylene Torch Cutting, Plasma Cutting, Carbon-Arc Gouging
Proficient knowledge of hand and power tools such as drills, grinders and sanders in the setup and fitting for welding or in finishing of welds
Proficient in Set-up and operations of fabrication equipment such as shear, pressbrake, angle rolls, plate rolls, iron work
Must have 2 -5 years’ practical experience as a fabricator and/or project manager
