SUMMARY
Set up and run production machinery to meet daily output and quality targets.
Read and follow work orders, technical instructions, and SOPs to complete changeovers and basic adjustments.
Use measuring tools (e.g., gauges, rulers, calipers) to verify dimensions and perform in-process checks.
Document production activity and quality results; escalate equipment or material issues promptly.
Keep the work area safe, organized, and audit-ready while supporting continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare machines for scheduled jobs, including tooling, fixtures, and parameter settings per specifications.
Load raw materials and monitor output for consistency; make routine adjustments to maintain quality.
Perform changeovers between product runs and assist with minor troubleshooting to reduce downtime.
Conduct regular in-process inspections using appropriate gauges/visual methods and record results.
Accurately log production counts, scrap, and issues in required forms or systems.
Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or material shortages to supervision or maintenance.
Follow all PPE, safety, and housekeeping requirements; contribute to 5S and similar initiatives.
Support preventive maintenance tasks and maintain cleanliness of machines and surrounding area.
Collaborate with teammates and participate in cross-training to cover multiple machines or operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing setting preferred.
Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn machine setup and basic adjustment.
Ability to interpret work orders and follow standardized procedures and safety guidelines.
Basic math and measurement skills; familiarity with hand-held measurement tools.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot defects or irregularities.
Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and working around industrial equipment for a full shift.
Available for full-time Monday–Friday work with occasional overtime based on production needs.
