Personal injury paralegal with established central Connecticut Firm

Our office seeks a paralegal to primarily handle personal injury files. The paralegal's duties will also include assisting with eviction and general litigation files. Our firm is centrally located in Meriden, Connecticut. We offer a highly competitive salary that is commensurate with the applicant's level of experience. Benefits are also available. Experience of 4+ years in the personal injury practice area is preferred; however, applicants with less experience will be considered. Job duties include, among other things, handling pre-litigation and post-litigation personal injury caseloads; communicating with medical providers for billing and medical records; lien negotiation; ERISA, Medicare and Medicaid coordination and compliance; preparing interrogatories and requests for production; e-filing in the CT judicial system; communicating with third party vendors like marshal's and experts; communicating with clients; and settlements. We are seeking a full time paralegal (40 hours per week), but would consider a part-time option (28 to 32 hours a week) under the right circumstances.
