This law firm has been doing personal injury work for 80 years. We have 12 lawyers. 24 staff, legal assistants and paralegals overall.
Self- motivation necessary. Must know drafting pleadings, court deadlines, dealing with discovery, scheduling. Lots of client contact. You will learn a great deal by being a paralegal in this law firm.
Summarizing and organizing medical records and preparing reports for attorneys
Conducting research, investigating facts and developing legal arguments
Drafting legal documents such as pleadings and interrogatory responses
Preparing and filing documents with courts
Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases
Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes.
Keep track of clients' medical treatment.
Keep insurance adjusters updated on case status and clients' treatment
Prepare files for depositions, mediation, arbitration and trial.
