REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT
MUST OBTAIN FLAGGING CERTIFICATE
With experience, pay is negotiable.
You must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED.
You must have a valid Driver’s License/Flagging certification
You must have a dependable vehicle to provide self-transportation to and from work sites.
You must be able to stand for extended periods of time, in all weather conditions. You must also be able to see and hear approaching traffic with the ability to move quickly if need be.
Availability to work overtime (10-12 hr. days) and possible weekends
Able to work outside in Winter and Summer weather conditions
Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Background Check and Drug Test.
Must be willing to drive 50 miles or more.
Travel Compensation.

Flaggersmay put out traffic cones and use signs and hand signals to communicate with motorists.Flaggersneed to be confident enough to stand in front of cars. If motorists do not obey the signs,flaggersmay record license plates to report to the police.
Standing: Constant standing throughout the shift. Position may require standing for periods greater than two hours at a time, for a total of greater than eight hours.
Walking: Occasional walking throughout the shift to remain alerted and to move with machinery involved in worksite project. Will periodically walk to put down and pick up safety cones and signs.
Sitting: Occasional sitting for brief periods in vehicles when moving from one location to another. No sitting permitted when performingflagging.
Lifting/Carrying: Constant handling of 24" aluminum paddle with PVC pipe weighing 4-5 lbs. Lift/carry rubber safety cones, weighing 7-8 lbs each, intermittently throughout shift (load may be broken down by an employee). Set-up and take down traffic control signs (maximum 20 lbs.) and stands (maximum 40 lbs.) up to 10 times per shift.
Reaching: Constant reaching with one hand/arm to steady stop/slow paddle out in front of the body. Constant reaching out in front of body with one arm to motion traffic. Constant raising and lowering paddle to full extension of the arm. The position allows the worker to alternate hands/arms at their discretion.
Stooping/Bending: Occasional stooping/bending when putting down and picking up safety cones, about 10 times per shift.
Twisting — Wrists/Forearms: Frequent twisting of wrist/forearm to turn stop/slow paddle from side to side. The position allows a worker to alternate hands/arms at their discretion.
Grasping: Constant grasping of stop/slow paddle one-handed (may alternate hands at own discretion).
PLEASE NOTE THIS A VARIABLE HOUR POSITION. WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE AMOUNT OF HOURS YOU WILL BE WORKING ON A WEEKLY BASIS. TYPICALLY OUR EMPLOYEES WORK PART-TIME HOURS BETWEEN 30-35 HOURS PER WEEK. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS THIS COMPONENT OF THE POSITION SATISFIES YOUR REQUIREMENTS
