Provide waste and/or recycling removal services to customers on assigned route(s) by emptying trash/recycling receptacles into truck and hauling to disposal site. This position routinely requires extensive physical exertion (lifting, kneeling, touching, feeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive bending/twisting motions while picking up trash/recycling receptacles weighing up to 75+ pounds each from the ground approximately 300-500 times per day) and entering/exiting the truck approximately 100 times per day, as you will be hanging on the back of the truck while route is in process.
Hanger responsibilities also include but not limited to replacing trash/recycling receptacles toters shall be positioned back on the customers property with lids properly replaced, in an upright position that does not block driveway entrances, mailboxes, traffic, etc., clean up waste spills and overflows, and following the direction of the driver who is in charge of the hanger while on route.
This position is 3rd shift Monday through Thursday.
