We are offering free room, food, utilities plus $600 per month in exchange for live-in elderly care.
My dad just turned 89 and is in generally good spirits. He walks with a walker and spends most of his time in his bedroom.
Your responsibilities include preparing and serving 3 meals per day. It’s a bowl of cereal in the morning. Half sandwich for lunch and a full dinner.
You would also help him get to the shower every other day, shop for food, give him his medicine and help him walk with a walker after lunch and dinner.
You would be expected to keep the condo clean and organized and do laundry as needed. There is laundry in the condo unit for small loads of wash and a larger W/D at the condo association for larger wash loads.
You would also take him to his favorite bar on Monday and Thursday and enjoy a drink at the bar on us plus take him to his doc appointments 2-3 times per month.
You would have plenty of free time between meals and after dinner to do things for yourself.
The total package is worth $4,200 per month. The condo rents for $2,400 per month. Utilities average $500 per month. Food averages $700 per month plus the monthly payment to you of $600 per month.
The right candidate would be someone with some experience caring for someone. It could be a parent or an older person. We would ask for 3 references and do a full background check on all candidates.
Start dates could be as soon as September 15th but could extend to October 1, 2025.
