Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the office operates smoothly. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.

Duties

- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.

- Maintain aseptic technique to ensure patient safety and infection control and prepare treatment rooms by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment.

- Manage the inventory of dental equipment and supplies.

- Document medical histories and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

- Utilize Eaglesoft software for scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing charts, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient inquiries.

- Prepare and take X-rays of patients.

Experience

- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a dental office setting, Radiation Certification and Infection Control Certification are preferred.

- Knowledge of various dental procedures and instruments.

- Ability to perform basic dental procedures such as cleaning, X-rays, dental impressions and, pouring models.

- Customer service skills.

- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.

- Proficiency in medical documentation systems, particularly Eaglesoft or similar software.

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records and documentation.

- Ability to work effectively while also being self-motivated.

Full-time/Part-time – Hours worked are hours paid

Schedule

-10 1/2 hours shift 7:30 am – 6:00 pm, 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

Pay Commensurate with experience

Expected hours 30 – 33 per week
