The Nest in Branford is seeking a full-time (temp) prep cook for its progressive food program. We serve children (infants through kindergarten) mostly organic, local and whole food daily, Monday through Friday (approx. 7am-3pm).
This a temp position to fill a maternity leave. February - June, possibly longer.
What you will do:
work alongside our Chef
daily prep of snacks and lunches for 3 schools
communicate clearly, professionally and effectively
promote and contribute to a positive team environment
What you need:
at least 2 years of prior kitchen experience
energetic demeanor, team player
strong work ethic and integrity
strong knife skills
basic baking experience
