Description Contact: [email protected] 3 DAYS IN OFFICEWe are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the construction industry in NEW HAVEN COUNTY, Connecticut. This role is critical in ensuring financial integrity and accuracy within the organization. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will handle various accounting functions, including maintaining customer records, processing applications, and resolving inquiries.Responsibilities Managing and overseeing all accounting functions within the organization, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to GAAP and other financial regulations Handling the month-end close process and ensuring accurate reporting Overseeing the billing functions and ensuring timely and accurate customer invoicing Managing the Work In Progress (WIP) reporting process Utilizing accounting software such as Sage 300 and Intacct ERP for efficient and accurate financial processing Participating in federal and state reporting and audits Applying expertise in construction accounting practices to the organization's financial management Managing and resolving customer inquiries related to accounting matters.Contact: [email protected] Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role Proficient in accounting functions Knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in auditing is essential Familiarity with billing functions Understanding of WIP - Work In Progress Experience in construction and construction accounting is beneficial Proficiency in US GAAP Experience in month end close procedures Knowledge of Intacct ERP, Sage 300, Sage Timberline, and Sage Timberline Software Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines Proven track record of managing and leading an accounting team Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred but not mandatory.
