Indeco North America is a leading manufacturer of Construction Equipment located in Milford Connecticut. Indeco has been operating in Connecticut for 35 years as fully integrated manufacturer with disciplines in Fabrication and Machining. Indeco has an exciting opportunity for a full time Staff Accountant to join a fast-paced environment. The position will be responsible for a wide variety of duties, including journal entries, monthly closing, financial statements, bank reconciliations, customer invoicing and collection of accounts receivable, and benefits administration.
Job Description:
The Staff Accountant/'Bookkeeper will be responsible for providing various accounting functions and support to the Controller.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for customer billing for two legal entities.
Ensure accounts receivables are collected in a timely manner.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
Complete monthly financial statements for subsidiary.
Assist Controller with employee benefits administration including health, dental, life/disability and 401 (k) plans.
Education and Experience:
3-5 years’ experience of general accounting in a small manufacturing environment.
Comfortable in working with Excel spreadsheets.
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of Infor VISUAL and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting software highly desirable.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and hit deadlines.
Works well independently as well with other teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving.
