StampTech Fasteners TM Division Description:The ITW StampTech Fastener TM Division serves the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market.  The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The Division drives profitability by leveraging its innovative solutions and application engineering.  In addition to ITW’s industry leading research and development capabilities, StampTech Fasteners TM enhances our customers’ competitive advantage by maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in North America, exchanging product, process, and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide and continually improving processes, material, and designs to ensure every product provides value and meets customer expectations.The position of Maintenance Tech will perform production operations involving complex multi-slide machines. Tasks involve trimming, punching, shaping, notching, drawing, crimping metal, adjusting and fitting parts to very close tolerances, making equipment adjustments, and performing minor repairs.Key Responsibilities

Consults with maintenance lead to prioritize repair projects.

Performs preventive maintenance and upkeep of production support equipment including compressors and oscillating feeds.

Diagnoses and remedies operating troubles.

Dismantles machines and equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.

Repairs or replaces defective parts. Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. Lubricates and cleans parts.

Starts machines and equipment to test their performance.

Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.

Follows all safety and housekeeping rules.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Proven experience in a maintenance role within a Manufacturing environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and positive attitude towards continuous improvement and implementation of goals.

Detail-oriented.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to build trust and confidence with employees and leaders.

Project a positive and professional image in accordance with ITW values.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) with emphasis on Excel

Working Conditions

Employee will be required to work in all areas of the plant; temperatures will vary.

Prolonged standing, crawling, kneeling and walking while performing job assignments.

Must be able to lift 45 lbs.

Safety toed/ slip resistant shoes, safety glasses and earplugs are required on the plant floor.
