Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions and oversee the work of a Staff Accountant, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, taxes and expenses.
Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines
Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities
Work with external tax accountants to support preparation and filing of federal and state taxes, in addition to supporting the R& D tax credit study process.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA or MBA preferred.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience including within public accounting. .
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with other financial systems.
Experience and knowledge of US GAAP Accounting
