Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Database Administrator based in MILFORD, Connecticut. The role is situated within the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, where you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the accuracy of data systems. Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend their data requirements and produce tailored reports and visualizations. Enhance and maintain current reports and dashboards to guarantee data accuracy and relevance. Conduct comprehensive data analysis and create recommendations to boost business performance based on identified trends and patterns. Implement data quality controls to ensure the integrity of data. In cooperation with the IT department, develop and maintain the data infrastructure, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools. Train and provide support for end-users on the usage of reporting and dashboarding tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and develop reports and dashboards that align with business needs. Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through the development and implementation of data quality controls. Assist in the development of custom reports and visualizations to meet stakeholder requirements. Utilize SQL Database skills to manage and manipulate data within the healthcare environment. Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field Proven experience in database administration, specifically with SQL databases Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining Excellent organizational and analytical abilities Outstanding problem solver with a keen attention to detail Familiarity with healthcare and hospital systems is a plus Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively High proficiency in data manipulation languages, including MS SQL Ability to troubleshoot and correct database issues and protect database against threats or unauthorized access Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with the main data manipulation languages and the principles of database design. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, where the technology is constantly changing. Must be able to respect the confidentiality and privacy of the data handled.
