Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist in Meriden, Connecticut. This role involves handling customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving inquiries related to customer credit. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Responsibilities: Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner Monitor customer credit accounts regularly Take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments Collaborate with team members to ensure the accuracy of billing collection Review and process medical claims Utilize medical billing skills to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of billing processes Handle authorizations and ensure they are processed accurately. Requirements Proficiency in Billing Collection and Claims Processing. Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Billing procedures. Experience with handling Authorizations in a medical setting. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Experience with medical billing software and office equipment. High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification is a plus. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. Familiarity with healthcare regulations and medical terminologies.
