Description:Our client, a major hospital in Manchester, CT is looking for a Cash Posting Specialist to assist their team. Specific duties of this role will include:
This position is responsible for the preparation and posting of insurance payments, personal payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
Records, reconciles and posts copays per Copay Log, resolving discrepancies.
Accurately records daily receipts according to procedure.
Prepares verifies and processes daily bank deposit.
Posts payments and adjustments to patient accounts into hospital computer system.
Access various websites to download electronic remittances & downloads.
Verifies, adjusting the download if needed & posts electronic downloads
Manage credit card processing, running reports, posting to patient accounts.
Processing and balancing General Ledger payments to cash report.
Balancing and preparing daily cash report for Accounting.
Balances cash drawer daily, documents any overages/shortages according to procedure.
Requests and distributes petty cash to appropriate personnel according to hospital procedure.
Handles cash transactions for hospital personnel, visitors and patients.
Reconcile petty cash and resolve any issues for Accounts Payable.
Manage Bank Scanner process, balancing, closing check deposit and saving bank reports from Bank System.
