Positions available for an Assistant Foreman and laborers for utility contractor crew placing new conduit for fiber optic cables. Work is full time, year-round, and overtime is currently offered. Duties for Assistant position include knowledge and use under Foreman's direction of hand, power, and air tools used in open trenching, plowing, and pneumatic boring practices. Training and working with laborers to advance their digging and other skills to be productive and efficient is also expected. Laborer positions duties include loading/unloading tools and materials, assisting as part of crew to dig trenches, place conduits, place pull boxes and/or handholes, place fiber in conduits, backfill, tamp and restore work areas. Most work is in grass residential areas but often includes asphalt/concrete cutting and restoration for sidewalk, driveway, or street crossings. Training is available, employee MUST be dependable and willing to come with a good work ethic.
All positions require a DMV printed work history with acceptable record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen to include cannabis. This job will require a DOT Medical Card as well, if you do not have one we can arrange to get it after hire.
