POSITION DEFINITION:
The Outdoor Power Equipment & Golf Cart Sales Person helps customers choose power equipment, handheld tools, and golf carts through various channels, including in-person interactions, phone calls, the company website, email, social media, trade shows, and on-the-road meetings. This role requires strong customer service skills to provide a professional and satisfying experience while effectively communicating product knowledge and the benefits of doing business with the company.
Preferred candidates have experience in new business development or retail showroom sales. The ideal candidate should enjoy the outdoors, appreciate small businesses, value long-term customer relationships, and take pride in helping customers find the best solutions for their needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand and advise customers on the best fit for their needs in each of our equipment areas
Provide exceptional customer service in building long term relationships
Research and market to different market segments reaching both the consumer and commercial customer
Return calls, email, social media requests in an effective and timely manner
Maintain inventory levels and ensure product displays are well organized and appealing
Remain organized in keeping a neat appearance and work area to better customer experience
Process sales transactions accurately within our POS system
Keep current with product knowledge through various online training from manufacturers
Work 40 hours per week inclusive of Saturday’s from 8am – 12noon.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate with Associates Degree in business related major
1 year sales experience preferably in outdoor power equipment or related field
Knowledge of landscape equipment, its use and maintenance practices are highly desirable
Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a degree of energy balanced with integrity, attention to detail and a positive personable demeanor
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Computer skills with the ability & desire to learn a new system
Punctuality and team spirit while maintaining a helpful, pleasant attitude with co-workers and management in a busy, seasonal, retail environment

Salary:
Starting at $20/hr based on your experience, paid hourly
Commission bonus structure incentives
