Food Laboratory Media Technician

The Laboratory Media Technician is responsible for the preparation of all microbiological media used in the laboratory, ensuring accuracy and consistency in formulation according to standard operating procedures. This role includes conducting quality control testing on prepared media to verify sterility, pH, and performance, as well as maintaining microbial cultures for use in proficiency testing, challenge studies, and routine laboratory operations. The technician will also manage inventory of media components, maintain cleanliness and organization of the media preparation area, and support adherence to all laboratory safety and quality standards.
