Delivery Driver & Warehouse help (Greater Hartford area)
We are a small Connecticut-based quality wine, beer and spirits wholesaler and distributor, now in our 12th year, with our own very recognized niche in this market. We run our own warehouse in Berlin (central CT), and are in need of a very reliable, honest person with a naturally strong work ethic to help with morning load-out, and delivery driving, possibly additional duties if it's a good fit. We don't have much in the way of employee turnover, but a senior longtime employee recently retired, and we are looking to start doing business in Massachusetts as well, so we are in need of solid help. We all work hard and have a friendly company culture.
Hours would roughly be 7:30 - 4:30: Tuesday - Friday. Specific duties: loading vans in the morning (2 to 3) and delivering wine/beer throughout the state while being a good ambassador for the company when interacting with customers. Strong work ethic, reliability, and good interpersonal skills are really what we are looking for. If you don't believe yourself to be extremely reliable and have your own reliable transportation, this is not the job for you. We are all small company, so we all rely on each other. Experience is always an asset, but being inexperienced is not a deal-breaker. But you must be physically fit enough to be able to easily move 35-50 pound boxes regularly. As with all small businesses, who knows where the job could lead if you are resourceful, reliable and interested in growing.
