Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Bolton, CT (Onsite)
Pay: $30-35/hr with 8-10% annual bonus
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Reports to: Operations Manager
Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Bolton, CT, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in machining with lathes and milling machines, with a strong understanding of machine setup for production.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and milling machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
Prepare and load raw materials into the machine and secure them properly for machining.
Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments based on job requirements.
Program and edit CNC machine controls using G code and M code as needed.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards before releasing them for further processing or shipment.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining with lathes and milling machines.
Strong understanding of machine setup for production, including selecting tools, fixtures, and programming controls.
Proficiency in G code and M code programming preferred.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
Must be a non-felon citizen of the United States; permanent residents may not apply.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
