Seeking a Personal Care Assistant. I am a friendly, vibrant, married woman seeking to hire a female PCA for the following hours:
Every other weekend, 10:00 am-4:00 pm Sat, (throughout Summer 2025)
Every Saturday, 10:00 am-4:00 pm (beginning Fall 2025)
Additional per diem hours may be needed when permanent PCAs need time off
Schedule;
M-Th 9:00 am-12:00 pm and 2:00 pm-6:00 pm
F 10:00 am-6:00 pm
S. Su 10:00 am-4:00 pm
Job Description:
I have Cerebral Palsy and use a power wheelchair. I have a ceiling track lift, so there will be no lifting required, but the use of proper body mechanics is mandatory for transfers. The morning routine can consist of the following ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). Provide direct and indirect personal care, including but not limited to (i.e., showering, dressing, catheter care and meal preparation, light housework, and laundry. I may have medical appointments, errands, or events to attend, so I need someone comfortable driving my handicapped-accessible van. I have insurance coverage for anyone who operates the vehicle.
Qualifications:
Some PCA experience is strongly encouraged and preferred. Training will be provided.
I am also looking for someone with a sense of humor and willing to have fun.
The IDEAL candidate will be reliable, empathetic, a team player, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be energetic, and have the ability to adapt to change. Additionally, you must be able to complete the required new hire credentialing process and have a clean driving record, and be able to perform any other duties as assigned.
