TPC River Highlands is a private golf course located in Cromwell, Conn., just outside of Hartford. TPC River Highlands championship golf course hosts the PGA TOURs Travelers Championship, the largest professional sports event in Connecticut. A new clubhouse is scheduled to open in late Spring 2019, which will feature two full kitchens, three event spaces, covered patios, and an outdoor event lawn, capable of hosting events from 12-person private dining to 500-person events. With the grand re-opening approaching, TPC River Highlands is seeking qualified candidates for culinary and food service positions. All these positions can be viewed at www.tpc.com/careers.

TPC River Highlands is currently seeking a Sous Chef. This management position is responsible for the food preparation and presentation for a la carte, banquets and special events. Working closely with the Executive Chef, this hands-on position is also responsible for:

Effective communication with the Executive Chef and F&B Director to attain highest member/guest satisfaction

Create various menu items and daily specials for a la carte and banquet menus

Maintaining the 5-star quality of food preparation and presentation for both a la carte and banquet events

Train and supervise other culinary team members in preparing menu items according to recipe cards and plating specifications

Food cost control and inventory

Qualified candidates will have the following:

3+ years of culinary experience, culinary degree preferred

Ability to be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Creative culinary skills and innovative thinking required

Knowledge of the Back of House operations and ability to supervise others

Ability to read and follow menus and recipes

Must be team oriented and able to adapt to changes in work demands
