Job Summary

Responsible for the preparation of meat, vegetables, soups, sauces, etc., as determined by the day's menu.

Is responsible for familiarizing self with all phases of dietary work.

Is responsible for reviewing menus, production sheets, catering sheets in order to determine type and quantities of foods to be prepared.

Is responsible for preparing, washing, trimming, cutting, cooking, and seasoning food items in compliance with facility’s policies.

Is responsible for suggesting menu or recipe changes so that food will be utilized in a timely manner.

Is responsible for sharing with the supervisor or department any ideas, which might improve the department and Resident care.
