Job DescriptionFusion Applications – Oracle’s flagship SaaS service – is undergoing a fundamental architectural change moving away from a monolith architecture to a cloud native architecture based on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The Fusion Applications Technical Architecture team is leading the effort defining this next generation architecture, building the platform and frameworks as well as redefining processes around modern DevSecOps principles.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Security Architecture to lead a new team within the Technical Architecture organization. This visionary leader will provide architectural leadership in security and related fields such as compliance and identity management. The VP of Security Architecture will be instrumental in shaping the security landscape for our applications and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of secure coding and compliance.In this role, the VP will build and lead a team of top-notch engineers, defining their work and overseeing their efforts to investigate and implement security measures. This security architecture team will ensure that Fusion Applications has the necessary platform, libraries and services to build a secure application. Security is continuously changing and the team will help Fusion Applications teams stay secure and build the necessary infrastructure to help development teams respond quickly to new security issues. Look ahead at new compliance requirements and roll them out for adoption across Fusion Applications giving them as much time as possible. Overall, this VP and team will be the development point of contact for all things related to security and compliance.Career Level - M6Responsibilities

Build and lead the new Security Architecture team.

Define the security architecture for all Fusion Application services.

Develop and maintain security patterns for Fusion Applications development teams.

Build security infrastructure including services, libraries, frameworks, security auditing tools, testing tools, etc.

Centralize security needs as much as possible to allow quick turnaround on new security and compliance requirements.

Roll out new security and compliance initiatives across Fusion Applications and ensure adoption.

Foster a culture of security awareness and best practices within the development teams.

Success Criteria:

Development teams have clarity on security requirements for new features and compliance standards.

Development teams are given sufficient time to meet compliance deadlines.

Security patterns and guidelines are effectively communicated and implemented across Fusion Applications teams.

Proactive security measures are in place, minimizing the impact of evolving security threats.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
